Leasing Your Car? Here's How to Avoid Paint Charges at Turn-In
Lease agreements charge you for paint damage at the end — but they also stop you from repainting. A peelable coating solves both problems at once.

Leasing puts you in an awkward spot with paint. You're responsible for wear beyond "normal" when you hand the car back, but you also can't meaningfully modify the finish, because it has to be returned in its original colour. So you spend three or four years accumulating stone chips you'll eventually be charged for, and you can't do much about it.
What actually gets flagged at turn-in
- Stone chips concentrated on the hood, front bumper and mirror caps
- Scratches and scuffs along rockers and door edges from tight parking
- Etching from bird droppings or sap that was left to sit
- Any paintwork that doesn't match the original factory finish
Why a peelable coating fits the problem
