There's no single answer that fits every car, but there is a sensible rhythm. How often you should detail comes down to how you drive, where you park, and the climate you're in. Here in the GTA — with road salt in winter and pollen and tree sap in spring — protection matters more than most owners realise.

A practical schedule

  • Maintenance wash: every 1–2 weeks. Keeps contaminants from bonding to the paint.
  • Interior clean: monthly. Vacuum, wipe-down, and protect high-touch surfaces.
  • Full detail: every 3–4 months. Decontamination, polish, and fresh protection inside and out.
  • Ceramic coating: once every few years, depending on the product and care.

Why cadence matters

Dirt isn't just cosmetic. Bonded contaminants — iron fallout, tar, tree sap — etch into clear coat over time and create the swirl marks you see under direct sun. Staying ahead of them with regular washes and seasonal details keeps correction work (and cost) to a minimum down the road.

If you'd rather not think about it, our Monthly Plan keeps your vehicle on a fixed schedule at a flat rate. Book once and we handle the rest.
